With more than 30 years of real estate operations experience, Steve has earned a reputation for adding financial value to assets in both the public and private sectors. His corporate leadership roles include serving as an EVP of Mixed-Use Development for Marriott International and The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, VP of Planning and Development for Centex Destination Properties, and VP of Project Management for Greg Norman & Macquire Bank’s Medallist Golf Development. Steve currently sits on the Advancement Board of Clemson University’s Center for Real Estate Development where he teaches courses in Mixed Use and Resort Real Estate Development.

A recognized leader and corporate visionary in Greenville, Leighton’s entrepreneurial background is steeped in the telecom industry. Leighton cofounded Serrus Telecom Investments, which yielded significant above-average returns for stakeholders. His vision and pursuit of excellence for hyper growth organizations have resulted in notable achievements such as South Carolina Entrepreneur of the Year (1993) and INC 500 #128 (1995). Mr. Cubbage has also served on boards in the automotive, banking and healthcare industries, including two terms as Chairman for the Greenville Hospital System, the largest healthcare organization in South Carolina. He currently serves as the Chairman of the SC Venture Capital Authority.

Previously Lead Project Manager with JL Design Builders in Greenville, SC, Russell brings a breadth of real estate experience to the Lakeside Lodge sales team.
